Winnipeg – Wawa Centre: A facility to help keep women safe and well-treated
A facility in Winnipeg, Canada, where women can receive the support they need to feel safer and more comfortable in their relationships with men, according to the Winnipeg Free Press.
A Winnipeg facility that offers residential care for women who are sexually abused or sexually exploited by a current or former partner is now offering residential care services for men.
The facility offers services including psychotherapy, support groups, job training, and job placement.
The Free Press article According to the Manitoba Government, the facility will serve between 10 and 15 people.
The program is part of a $20 million investment that is designed to support women who were sexually abused as children.
According to a spokesperson for Wawa, the program has been in operation for the last seven years.
The spokesperson said the program will be operational for another three years.
According a statement from the program, the residential program for men was established in 2011 to meet the needs of a large number of men who were experiencing difficulties coping with the abuse of a former partner or with the sexual abuse of children.
It is designed as a resource for men who have experienced sexual or other abuse and have been unable to access support from other providers.
This support is delivered in the community, in an atmosphere of mutual respect, support and support systems for men, and it is designed for them to heal and recover as they develop and thrive as men.
